VCE Software For HR: Hiring The Best People With Flexible Pre-Employment Testing
Using pre-employment testing is becoming more and more popular with HR managers around the world. Naturally, as a hiring manager, you would want to evaluate the skills of a candidate before investing time in their further interviewing and training. Yet, many popular HR testing systems and pre-made tests fail to meet the needs of organizations and HR managers. Avanset solves this problem with its VCE Exam Software.
VCE Exam Format and Software
VCE Software allows HR managers to create fully customized interactive exams to test the candidate's skills in any area, on any topic, or a few topics at once. It supports a wide range of question types, allowing for maximum flexibility of an HR test: multiple choice questions, fill in the blank questions, select and place / drag-n-drop questions, point and shoot questions (picking a point on the image), hot area questions (picking an area out of the few options given), create a tree of questions, build list and reorder, drop and connect questions.
Turning any test into an interactive exam is easy as VCE Exam Simulator allows users to import questions from various file formats, including txt, rtf, PDF. So, basically, all you need is this software and a list of typed up questions. VCE allows embedding images in the exam questions and answers, so can be used in a wide range of areas, from design to customer service and dozens more.
The VCE software gives the option of saving the current testing session and coming back to it later. You can also review the testing history, go back to the questions that hadn't been answered correctly and more. The latest version of the VCE Software supports non-English characters, so it can be used for tests in any language. VCE software is available for Windows, Mac OS, as well as Android and iOS phones and tablets, enabling managers to review tests and make hiring decisions anytime, anywhere.
Using VCE Software in the Hiring Process
While VCE Exam Simulator PRO had gained its original popularity among IT professionals, its usage is quickly spreading to a variety of other industries. It is becoming more and more popular with HR professionals for pre-employment testing for its maximized convenience and flexibility.
There is no doubt that including computerized testing in the hiring process allows organizations to filter out weaker candidates, objectively evaluating the knowledge of exam takers. This is why more and more IT companies are developing HR-targeted tests, allowing hiring managers to evaluate the candidates' skills in a particular area, e.g. Microsoft Office, industry-targeted software, etc. Yet, when it comes to hiring an employee that would be a perfect fit with an organization, standardized third party tests can do more harm than good. Each company is unique, and are the requirements. And this is where VCE Software comes in.

VCE Exam Simulator PRO allows HR managers to develop their own pre-employment tests, specific to their organization. The questions may vary from testing the candidate's professional skills, to their background, work ethics, communication skills, etc - everything that's important to an organization. This way, a few rounds of interviews can be condensed into one interactive test, saving HR managers days of fruitless interviews, helping companies avoid painful hiring mistakes and decrease employee turnover rate in the long run.

Customer feedback
Our HR department changed its hiring process to using the VCE software around 5 months ago, when we faced an expansion and needed to hire a number of people and avoid those messy hiring mistakes. We tried a few third-party tests and felt that although they allowed some flexibility to those standardized exams, they did not fully meet our needs. Not only did we want to hire professionals, but we wanted to make sure that the new hires fit well with our corporate culture and the company's goals match those of their own.
So, our HR team and senior managers came up with the questions we would want candidates to answer. Specific team managers contributed the questions for each particular position (mostly focusing on technical skills and expertise) , while some other questions were taken from standardized tests. All in all, our pre-employment tests were shaped in just about two weeks! We did some tailoring as we went, but overall we've been very happy with the results.
Our VCE-based pre-employment tests are perfect for our company, and the people we hired using them have all been a great fit with our diverse team. They were able to hit the ground running, and the expansion we were so worried about went great, not to mention the hours we were able to save by condensing the 4-stage process to a 45 minute test and a final interview for successful candidates. VCE software allows great convenience and flexibility, and it inspired us to improve our HR processes. We now also use it for annual proficiency reviews of our staff.
